Mumbai, May 11: Cyient Ltd announced that its subsidiary Cyient Semiconductors has launched India’s first gallium nitride (GaN) power IC family leveraging Navitas Semiconductor technology, according to an exchange disclosure.

The company stated that the initial product portfolio includes seven GaN power ICs with 650V capability designed for applications across Edge AI computing, telecommunications, consumer fast charging, industrial systems and e-mobility platforms.

As per the press release, the launch marks Cyient Semiconductors’ first commercial GaN product family and represents a significant development in India’s domestic power semiconductor ecosystem.

The company said the products are based on Navitas Semiconductor’s GaN technology platform under a licensing arrangement announced in December 2025. Cyient Semiconductors will also serve as a second source supplier for select Navitas GaN devices already in mass production.

According to the company, the GaN portfolio targets high-efficiency and high-power-density applications, enabling reduced conduction losses, improved thermal efficiency and compact system design.

Cyient Semiconductors added that sampling of the first set of GaN power products is expected to commence by June 2026.
