Eicher Motors Limited Reports 9.5% YoY Growth in VECV Sales for August; Exports Surge 132.5%

Gurugram, 1st September 2025: Eicher Motors Limited (NSE: EICHERMOT) announced that VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV), its unlisted subsidiary, sold 7,167 units in August 2025, an increase of 9.5% over August 2024 sales of 6,543 units, with the rebound resulting in a considerable rise in exports, which more than doubled year over year.

August 2025 VECV Sales Rise 9.5% YoY to 7,167 Units, Exports More Than Double
VECV’s total sales across all segments, including EVs, in August 2025 were 7,167 units, representing a 9.5% YoY increase over August 2024 of 6,543 units. Eicher Trucks & Buses increased by 10.2% from the prior year at 6,924 units. The domestic sales of Eicher at 6,331 units had a 5% net increase, and Eicher export sales increased 132.5% YoY sales vs 593 units last year. Volvo Trucks & Buses experienced a 6.5% decrease in sales, with 243 units sold, compared to 260 units sold in the same month the previous year.
FY26 YTD VECV Sales Up 9.2% to 35,892 Units, Export Growth Fuels Momentum
VECV has a total sales of 35,892 units (including EVs) in FY26 to date, which is 9.2% higher than the 32,867 units sold in FY25. Eicher Trucks & Buses increased 9.4% to 35,037 units, domestic sales increased 7.7% to 32,478 units, and exports increased 38.5% to 2,559 units, while sales from Volvo Trucks & Buses remained flat at 855 units.
Domestic SCV/HD Trucks Climb 7-11% While Bus Segment Faces Slowdown, Export Volumes Soar
Company filings show mixed results for segment-wise performance in August 2025. In the domestic market, Eicher Trucks registered 3,585 units of SCV/LMD (less than 18.5T), up 10.6%, and 1,734 units of HD (more than or equal to 18.5T), up 7.6%. Domestic bus sales were down (LMD buses down 10.9% – 896 units; and HD buses down 31.8% – 116 units). Exports were strong (LMD exports up 97.6% to 334 units; HD exports up 344.1% to 151 units; and bus exports doubled to a total of 107.7% from the previous year – reached 108 units).
Export-Led Surge Offsets Domestic Bus Headwinds, Driving Overall VECV Growth
The August result shows strong momentum in both domestic and export trucks, while the bus segment continues to experience domestic headwinds. Overall demand for volumes was materially lifted by export growth across all categories.
