EIM Signs Assembling, Marketing Deal With Beiqi for e-HCVs

Ravindra Energy Ltd said that its associate firm, Energy In Motion Pvt Ltd (EIM) has inked a pact with Beiqi Foton Motor Co. Ltd for introduction of electric heavy commercial vehicles (e-HCVs) in India. Commercial rollout is planned for Q2FY2025-26.

Strategic Partnership to Power India’s Green Freight Transition

As per the pact, EIM will have the exclusive rights to assemble and market the FOTON’s next-generation e-HCVs in India. The goal of their partnership it to provide cost-effective, environmentally friendly alternatives to traditional diesel trucks and create a widespread system of battery swapping and high-capacity charging stations nationwide.

EIM is Ravindra Energy’s platform for sustainable mobility, in which REL holds a 49.5% stake. Beyond manufacturing electric trucks, EIM will deploy a country-wide battery swapping and charging network powered by renewable energy supplied by REL. The company’s focus is on enabling corporates and fleet operators to shift to cleaner logistics operations.
