Engineers India Announces Interim Dividend; What Shareholders Should Know
By Shishta Dutta | Updated at: Dec 4, 2025 04:37 PM IST

December 4, 2025 – The Board of Engineers India Ltd has declared an interim dividend to the shareholders at the rate of ₹1 during the financial year 2025-26. The record date for determining the entitlement of the shareholders will be Thursday, 4 December 2025.
Shareholders holding shares in their trading accounts by the close of business on 4 December 2025 will be entitled to receive the dividend. Shares will start trading ex-dividend from the following day, meaning investors purchasing after 4 December will not be eligible for this payout.
Dividend Track Record & Yield Context
EIL has always been generous with its shareholders’ returns. According to its corporate action history, the company has issued dividends 44 times since September 2003.
The company’s dividend in the last 12 months, including both interim and final dividends, aggregated to ₹5.00 per share. The dividend yield on the latest interim dividend announcement is around 2.5% (annualised, if similar dividends are paid in the future).
What Investors Should Watch
Investors willing to take advantage of this interim dividend should ensure they buy the shares before the ex-dividend date, i.e., before the market closes on 4 December 2025. After that, the stock will be trading ex-dividend, and the new buyers will not be entitled to that dividend.
Investors with a long term view can view this dividend as a reaffirmation of stability in the company’s cash flow and a manifestation of regular returns, given Engineers India’s periodic dividend-paying history.
That being said, just as with any other dividend-driven approach, it is important to consider business fundamentals and prospects for a company, rather than solely relying on the dividend yield.
