Federal Card Services Commits USD 250 Million for India Entry with Pune Manufacturing Facility

Mumbai, November 11, 2025: Federal Card Services (FCS) has announced its USD 250 million investment to establish its presence in India. The US-based premium card manufacturer is foraying into its state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Pune.
Expansion Plan and Job Creation
This plan is expected to generate about 1,000 plus direct jobs. The area of need will span from technology, real estate, and service segments. Federal Card Services stated that Pune has got a strong engineering talent pool that makes it an ideal option to bring in connectivity to Asia, the Middle East, and Europe. Thereby, Pune forms an ideal base for FCS’s regional operations.
Manufacturing Focus and Sustainability
In order to bring sustainability and bring in an alternative to PVC plastic cards, the upcoming Pune plant will produce 100% metal and biodegradable payment cards. Renewable sources such as certified wood, coffee fiber, and other plant-based composites are employed to bring in a completely eco-friendly material.

Federal Card Services CEO, Matías Gainza Eurnekian, said that India is central to the company’s next phase of global growth. In order to scale sustainable innovation, India forms the perfect base with its significant fintech ecosystem, engineering excellence, and manufacturing capabilities.
He further stated that India will serve as the hub for innovation, talent, and wise manufacturing. He emphasised the company’s long-term vision and commitment to design nd produce payment solutions from India to the world.

FCS is a Miami-headquartered company. In account of its installed capacity and patent portfolio in the premium card industry, FCS is currently the second-largest company in the world. The company’s research and development hub is based in Ireland. The company’s primary manufacturing facility operates in Ohio, USA.
