Mumbai, July 31:G.V. Electricals IPO opened for public subscription on Friday, with investors beginning to place bids for the ₹42.25 crore SME public issue. Early subscription data showed a cautious start, as retail participation outpaced other investor categories while institutional investors largely stayed on the sidelines during the first half of the opening day.

According to the latest exchange data available till 11:28 AM, the IPO was subscribed 0.21 times overall. The retail investor category was booked 0.39 times, reflecting relatively stronger interest from individual investors. The non-institutional investor (NII) portion received 0.08 times subscription, while the QIB (Ex Anchor) category had not received any bids at the time of the update.

The muted opening-day numbers are not unusual for SME IPOs, where institutional investors and several high-net-worth applicants often prefer to submit bids closer to the final day of the issue. Subscription levels typically witness sharper movement during the last two sessions.

  • Offer for Sale: 2,50,000 equity shares aggregating up to ₹3.25 crore

The IPO is priced in the range of ₹123 to ₹130 per share.

Investors can apply for a minimum of 2,000 shares, requiring an investment of ₹2,60,000 at the upper end of the price band. For HNI investors, the minimum application size is 3,000 shares, amounting to ₹3,90,000.

Reservation Break-Up

Out of the net issue:

  • QIB: 14,80,000 shares (49.83%)
  • NII: 4,50,000 shares (15.15%)
  • Retail: 10,40,000 shares (35.02%)

Additionally, 2,80,000 shares have been reserved for the market maker, while anchor investors were allotted 8,88,000 shares, raising ₹11.54 crore ahead of the IPO opening.
