GAIL Reports ₹2,049 Crore Net Profit in Q4 FY25

Maharatna PSU GAIL (India) Ltd, India’s largest natural gas transmission and marketing firm, has released its Q4 FY25 results.
Q4 FY25 Performance:
Q4 FY25 Performance Illustrates Varied Trends Quarterly on quarter, Q4 FY25 saw a marginal fall in some of the metrics when compared with the latest prior period:
- Operation revenues increased to ₹35,707 crore from ₹34,958 crore in Q3.
- EBITDA decreased to ₹3,783 crore from ₹6,027 crore
- PBT decreased to ₹2,701 crore from ₹5,029 crore in Q3.
- PAT was at ₹2,049 crore, down from ₹3,867 crore.
At the consolidated level:
- Consolidated Q4 revenue was ₹36,551 crore versus ₹36,937 crore in Q3.
- Consolidated net profit was ₹2,492 crore, lower than the FY25 last quarter’s ₹4,082 crore.
Segment-wise performance highlights:
- Natural gas transmission volumes increased 6% year over year to 127.32 MMSCMD from 120.46 MMSCMD.
- Gas marketing volumes were 101.49 MMSCMD, up from 98.45 MMSCMD last year.
- Polymer production increased 6% year over year to 827 TMT.
- LHC production stood at 947 TMT, which is marginally lower than 996 TMT in FY24.
In Q4 alone:
- Gas transmission stood at 120.83 MMSCMD, with a fall from 125.93 MMSCMD in Q3.
- Gas marketing volume was higher at 106.53 MMSCMD from 103.46 MMSCMD
- Polymer sales were higher by 4% at 229 TM, T, and LHC sales fell to 198 TMT from 282 TMT.
Dividend Announcement:
The Board of Directors has recommended a final dividend of ₹1 per face value equity share of ₹10 for FY25 over and above the interim dividend of ₹6.50 per share already paid. The net dividend payout for the year is ₹7.50 per share with a dividend payout percentage of 43.59%, subject to approval from the shareholders in the upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM).
