Godrej Industries Q2 Profit Falls 16% YoY Despite Total Income Rising 23%

Mumbai, November 12: Godrej Industries Limited has released its financial results for the quarter ending September 30, 2025. It reported a decline of 16% in its profit despite reporting a 23% rise in its revenue.
Godrej Industries Q2FY26 and Half-yearly Financial Results
In Q2 FY26, the company recorded a total income of ₹6,290 crore, marking a 23% YoY growth from ₹5,118 crore in Q2 FY25. Profit before depreciation, interest, and tax (PBDIT) stood at ₹1,428 crore, up 41% YoY, while Profit before interest and tax (PBIT) rose 44% YoY to ₹1,307 crore from ₹906 crore. Depreciation was ₹121 crore versus ₹108 crore a year ago, and interest expenses increased to ₹584 crore from ₹477 crore. However, net profit declined 16% YoY to ₹242 crore compared to ₹288 crore in Q2 FY25.
For H1 FY26, total income reached ₹12,009 crore, up 16% YoY, while PBDIT climbed 31% to ₹3,176 crore. PBIT stood at ₹2,942 crore, up 33%, and net profit came in at ₹592 crore, slightly down 3% YoY from ₹610 crore.
In terms of segment performance, the Estate and Property Development segment contributed the largest to revenue at ₹1,950 crore, followed by Animal Feed at ₹1,217 crore and Chemicals at ₹1,059 crore. Profit before interest and tax (PBIT) was led by Estate & Property Development at ₹674 crore, while Chemicals and Animal Feed contributed ₹97 crore and ₹71 crore, respectively.

As of 12:51 PM, Godrej Industries share price is down by 0.94%, or 10.10 points, as is trading at ₹1,060. Until now, the shares have traded within a range of ₹1,073.50 and ₹1,036.80. The current traded volume stands at 2.07 lakh shares, with the company’s market cap at ₹36,041 crore. The shares have their 52-week high at ₹1,390 and their 52-week low at ₹766.

Godrej Industries has reported a mixed set of numbers for Q2FY26. Although its total income increased by 23%, it saw a fall of 16% in its profit. It shows that the company is not cost-efficient and has higher expenses. The fall in the profit has slightly affected investor sentiments negatively, and the share price is trading marginally lower as of now.
