Gold prices in Bangalore moved higher on August 12, with all major purity categories posting gains. The 24K gold rate rose ₹104 to ₹15,486 per gram, while 22K gold increased ₹95 to ₹14,195 and 18K gold climbed ₹77 to ₹11,614 per gram. The latest rise follows another strong session on August 11, when 24K gold gained ₹185 per gram.

Bangalore, August 12: Gold prices in Bangalore continued their upward move on Wednesday, with rates rising across 24K, 22K and 18K gold. The latest gains come after another strong session on August 11 and keep gold prices well above the levels seen at the start of the month.
The 24K gold rate climbed ₹104 per gram to ₹15,486, while 22K gold rose ₹95 to ₹14,195 per gram. The 18K gold rate also moved higher by ₹77 to ₹11,614 per gram.
The latest increase follows a ₹185-per-gram gain in 24K gold on August 11. With prices rising over the past two sessions, gold has recovered sharply from the brief decline recorded on August 10.

Gold Prices Continue to Gain in Bangalore
Gold has seen a noticeable pickup in Bangalore over the past several sessions.
The 24K rate stood at ₹14,422 per gram on August 3 and slipped slightly to ₹14,400 on August 4. Prices then turned higher, with gold gaining ₹284 on August 5 and another ₹289 on August 6.
The upward momentum continued on August 7 and August 8, taking 24K gold to ₹15,235 per gram. After remaining unchanged on August 9, prices fell ₹38 on August 10.
That dip was short-lived. Gold rebounded ₹185 on August 11 and added another ₹104 today, taking the 24K rate to ₹15,486 per gram.

The 10-day data shows a clear recovery in gold prices after the brief weakness seen at the beginning of the period. The 24K rate has moved from ₹14,422 per gram on August 3 to ₹15,486 today.
The strongest daily gains in the period came on August 6, when 24K gold jumped ₹289 per gram, followed by a ₹284 rise on August 5. After the ₹38 decline on August 10, prices have gained again over the past two sessions.

Gold Price Movement Since August 3
From ₹14,422 per gram on August 3 to ₹15,486 on August 12, the 24K gold rate in Bangalore has increased by ₹1,064 per gram.
Over the same period, 22K gold moved from ₹13,220 to ₹14,195 per gram, a rise of ₹975 per gram.
The latest two sessions have added ₹289 per gram to the 24K rate in total, following the brief decline on August 10.
10-Gram and 100-Gram Gold Prices
At today’s rates, 10 grams of 24K gold is valued at ₹1,54,860, while 10 grams of 22K gold costs ₹1,41,950 based on the quoted gold rate. For 18K gold, the value for 10 grams is ₹1,16,140.
For 100 grams, the quoted rates are ₹15,48,600 for 24K, ₹14,19,500 for 22K and ₹11,61,400 for 18K gold.
These are indicative gold values and do not include GST, TCS or other applicable levies.
