Gold prices in Bangalore moved lower on August 4, reversing the stability seen over the previous two sessions. 24K gold fell by ₹22 per gram, while 22K gold declined by ₹20 and 18K gold slipped by ₹16. Although the correction is modest, it reflects the impact of softer global bullion prices and cautious buying in the domestic market.

Bangalore, August 4: Gold prices softened on Tuesday after remaining unchanged over the weekend. The latest correction comes after last week’s recovery, with bullion prices giving up a small part of those gains as global market sentiment turned slightly cautious.
According to today’s rates, 24K gold is priced at ₹14,400 per gram, while 22K gold is available at ₹13,200 per gram. 18K gold is retailing at ₹10,800 per gram.

The recent trend shows that gold prices have been moving within a fairly narrow range despite day-to-day fluctuations. After gaining strength towards the end of July, prices remained unchanged for two sessions before today’s mild correction. This suggests that the broader market is still searching for fresh direction.
What Influences Gold Prices?
Gold prices in India are driven by several factors, including international bullion prices, the rupee’s exchange rate against the US dollar, import duties, central bank policies, inflation expectations and seasonal demand from jewellers and consumers.
Conclusion
Gold prices in Bangalore witnessed a modest decline on August 4, with 24K gold falling to ₹14,400 per gram, 22K gold to ₹13,200, and 18K gold to ₹10,800. While the correction is limited, it comes after two sessions of unchanged prices, indicating that the market continues to respond to global developments. Buyers and investors may want to keep an eye on international trends for the next major move in bullion prices.
