Delhi, July 15: Gold prices bounced back in the national capital on Wednesday, reversing the weakness seen over the last two trading sessions. The recovery lifted rates across all major purity categories, suggesting that buyers stepped in after the recent correction pushed prices to their lowest level of the month.

According to today’s retail rates, 24-karat gold is selling at ₹14,372 per gram, up ₹77 from the previous session. 22-karat gold has climbed by ₹70 to ₹13,175 per gram, while 18-karat gold is now priced at ₹10,782 per gram, registering a gain of ₹57.

Although today’s recovery is encouraging for the market, gold still remains below the highs recorded during the first week of July. For jewellery buyers, that means prices continue to be relatively attractive despite the latest uptick.

Buyers Return After Gold Hits Monthly Low

The first half of July has been a roller-coaster for gold prices.

After climbing steadily during the opening week, the market lost momentum and entered a correction phase. That decline gathered pace over the last two sessions, taking prices to their lowest level of the month and prompting many buyers to wait on the sidelines.

Wednesday brought a change in sentiment.

With 24K gold rising by ₹77 per gram, the market witnessed its strongest single-day recovery in several sessions. While one positive session doesn’t confirm a sustained uptrend, it does suggest that lower prices have started attracting fresh buying interest.

Even after today’s increase, 24K gold remains ₹305 below its monthly high of ₹14,677, indicating that buyers are still paying less than they would have during the early-July rally.

Why Do Gold Prices Change Every Day?

Gold prices are influenced by a combination of international and domestic factors. Global bullion prices, movements in the rupee against the US dollar, import duties, inflation expectations, interest rate outlook and geopolitical developments all play a role in determining daily retail gold rates.

Since these factors change almost every trading session, gold prices are updated daily across cities.

Conclusion

Gold prices in Delhi staged a healthy recovery on July 15, with 24K gold rising to ₹14,372 per gram and 22K gold climbing to ₹13,175 per gram. The rebound follows two sessions of declines and suggests that buyers have started returning after the recent correction. While prices remain below this month’s peak, today’s gains indicate that the market may be finding support at lower levels. Investors and jewellery buyers will now watch global bullion trends and currency movements to see whether the recovery gathers further momentum.
