Gold prices in Delhi slipped marginally on July 24, extending Thursday’s pullback after the sharp rally earlier in the week. The 24K gold rate eased by ₹1 to ₹14,632 per gram, while 22K gold fell to ₹13,414 per gram. Despite two days of declines, gold remains well above its mid-July levels.

Delhi, July 24: Gold prices in Delhi edged lower on Friday, but the move was barely noticeable compared with the swings buyers have seen this week. Rates fell by ₹1 per gram across 24K, 22K and 18K gold, marking a second straight day of declines after Wednesday’s sharp rally.
The 24-karat gold rate stood at ₹14,632 per gram, down ₹1 from Thursday. The 22-karat rate slipped to ₹13,414 per gram, while 18-karat gold eased to ₹10,978 per gram.
The latest decline comes after 24K gold fell ₹23 on July 23. Even so, prices have held on to most of the ₹219 jump recorded on July 22. For buyers waiting for a sizeable correction after that surge, the past two sessions have offered only limited relief.
Delhi Gold Rate Today
| Purity | Price per gram | Change |
| 24K Gold | ₹14,632 | -₹1 |
| 22K Gold | ₹13,414 | -₹1 |

Gold Holds Most of This Week’s Gains
Gold’s recent moves in Delhi have been sharp in both directions.
On July 21, 24K gold rose ₹76 to ₹14,437 per gram. The rally accelerated a day later, with the price jumping another ₹219 to ₹14,656 — the highest level seen during the latest 10-day stretch.
The market has cooled since then, though not by much. Thursday knocked ₹23 off the 24K rate and Friday brought another ₹1 decline, taking the price to ₹14,632.
That still leaves 24K gold ₹195 per gram above its July 21 level. The 22K rate has followed a similar path and remains ₹179 higher than it was three days ago.

What Would 10 Grams of 22K Jewellery Cost Today?
At ₹13,414 per gram, the gold value for 10 grams of 22K gold comes to ₹1,34,140. But that isn’t what a jewellery buyer would finally pay.
Making charges and GST push the overall cost higher. Assuming 12% making charges and 3% GST, the estimated bill is:
| Component | Amount |
| Gold value | ₹1,34,140 |
| Making charges (12%) | ₹16,097 |
| GST (3%) | ₹4,507 |
| Estimated final amount | ₹1,54,744 |
The actual amount can differ depending on the jewellery design, making charges, wastage and the jeweller’s pricing.
10-Day Gold Price Trend
- July 24: ₹14,632 (-₹1)
- July 23: ₹14,633 (-₹23)
- July 22: ₹14,656 (+₹219)
- July 21: ₹14,437 (+₹76)
- July 20: ₹14,361 (+₹17)
- July 19: ₹14,344 (No change)
- July 18: ₹14,344 (+₹76)
- July 17: ₹14,268 (-₹76)
- July 16: ₹14,344 (-₹28)
- July 15: ₹14,372 (+₹77)
The trend shows that gold spent much of the middle of July moving in a relatively narrow range before breaking higher this week.
The low point during these 10 sessions came on July 17 at ₹14,268 per gram. From there, 24K gold climbed ₹388 to reach ₹14,656 on July 22. The subsequent correction has taken just ₹24 off that peak.
In other words, the last two days have cooled the rally without reversing it.
Recent Gold Price Performance
| Particulars | 24K Gold | 22K Gold |
| July 15 Price | ₹14,372 | ₹13,175 |
| July 24 Price | ₹14,632 | ₹13,414 |
| 10-Day High | ₹14,656 (July 22) | ₹13,445 (July 22) |
| 10-Day Low | ₹14,268 (July 17) | ₹13,080 (July 17) |
| Change since July 15 | +₹260 | +₹239 |
The comparison puts Friday’s ₹1 decline into perspective. Since July 15, 24K gold has gained ₹260 per gram, while 22K gold is ₹239 higher.
For a 10-gram purchase of 22K gold, the underlying metal alone now costs ₹2,390 more than it did on July 15. That difference comes before making charges and taxes are factored into a jewellery bill.
Why Do Gold Prices Change Every Day?
Gold rates in Delhi are tied to more than demand at local jewellery stores. International bullion prices and movements in the rupee against the US dollar play an important role in determining domestic rates.
Expectations around interest rates, inflation, geopolitical tensions and central bank activity can move gold in global markets. Because India relies heavily on imported gold, changes in international prices and the rupee can feed through to retail prices at home.
Conclusion
Gold prices in Delhi eased slightly on July 24, with 24K gold at ₹14,632 per gram, 22K gold at ₹13,414 and 18K gold at ₹10,978. All three categories declined by just ₹1 per gram.
The small drop follows Thursday’s correction, but it has done little to erase Wednesday’s rally. At ₹14,632, 24K gold remains only ₹24 below its 10-day high and ₹260 above its July 15 level. For buyers, gold is therefore still trading at the upper end of its recent range despite two consecutive sessions of declines.
