Gold prices in Mumbai edged higher on July 9 after three consecutive sessions of decline. The 24K gold rate rose to ₹14,324 per gram, while 22K gold climbed to ₹13,130 per gram, suggesting that the recent correction may be losing momentum.

Mumbai, July 9: Gold prices in Mumbai inched up on Thursday after falling for three straight sessions. While the increase was modest, it offered a breather following the sharp correction seen over the past few days.
According to the latest retail rates, 24K gold is priced at ₹14,324 per gram, up ₹11 from Wednesday. 22K gold has risen by ₹10 to ₹13,130 per gram, while 18K gold is now selling at ₹10,743 per gram, up ₹8.
The gains are small, but they suggest that gold prices may be finding some stability after giving up part of the rally seen earlier this month.

A Small Recovery After Recent Weakness

That rally was followed by a steady correction. Gold prices slipped for three sessions in a row before posting a small recovery on Thursday.
Even with the recent decline, prices remain above where they started the month. Compared with July 1, 24K gold is still ₹246 per gram higher, while 22K gold has gained ₹225 per gram.

Why Do Gold Prices Change Every Day?
Gold prices in Mumbai don’t move in isolation. They are influenced by global bullion prices, movements in the rupee against the US dollar, import duties, geopolitical developments, central bank policies and domestic demand. A change in any of these factors can affect retail gold prices from one day to the next.
Conclusion
After three straight sessions of declines, gold prices in Mumbai have posted a modest recovery. Although the increase is small, it suggests that selling pressure may be easing for now. Whether this turns into a sustained rebound or proves to be a brief pause in the recent correction will depend on how global and domestic market cues unfold over the coming days.
