Mumbai, May 11: Gopal Snacks Ltd said it has resumed manufacturing operations at its main Rajkot facility after completing reinstatement work following the fire incident reported in December 2024.

According to the company’s exchange filing, operations restarted after the company received the necessary approvals from relevant government authorities. The Rajkot facility had remained shut since the fire incident disrupted operations last year.

The company said the plant has an installed manufacturing capacity of 1,05,233 MTPA and manufactures products including gathiya, namkeen, snack pellets and extruded snacks.

Gopal Snacks also announced that manufacturing activities at its Gondal facility will be discontinued as production shifts to the Rajkot plant.

The consolidation is expected to improve operational efficiency through lower power and transportation costs, along with better utilisation of labour and manufacturing overheads.

The company clarified that ancillary facilities producing papad, spices and besan were not impacted by the earlier fire incident and continued operating normally during the disruption period.

The restart of the Rajkot facility marks an important operational recovery milestone for the company, restoring a major portion of its production infrastructure after months of reinstatement work.

Stock Market Snapshot

Gopal Snacks share price traded marginally lower despite the operational update.

The stock was trading at ₹330.95, down 0.62%, as of 11:45 a.m. IST on May 11, 2026, according to exchange data.

Market reaction remained subdued even as investors tracked the reopening of the company’s primary manufacturing unit and the potential efficiency gains from production consolidation.

The restoration of full-scale operations at Rajkot is expected to play a key role in normalising production capacity and supporting future volume growth.
