New Delhi, July 14, 2025 – Hero MotoCorp is planning to expand its footprint in international markets by setting up operations in Germany, France, Spain and the United Kingdom in Q2 FY 2025-26. As mentioned in its Annual Report FY 2024-25, the expansion is based on the company’s long-term plan to grow globally in the electric mobility sector and complete its transition to electric two-wheeler vehicles.

The company is also planning to foster innovation by mentoring entrepreneurs and investing in electric vehicles from prominent companies like Ather Energy and Euler Motors, to lead India’s electric mobility transformation.

At 3:31 PM IST, the share price at  ₹4251.70 is up 0.70% from the closing price of the previous day. The stock opened lower at ₹4,219.00 below the previous day’s closing price of ₹4,218.70. The stock reached a high of ₹4,259.00 and a low of ₹4,197.20 in trading.

Strategic Push into European Markets

Chairman Pawan Munjal stated to shareholders that the goal of the company is “Mobility without Boundaries”. He stressed the importance of Hero MotoCorp’s impending entry into important European markets as an important step along its global expansion path.

“FY 2025-26 will witness a bold global expansion roadmap as we extend our presence into Germany, France, Spain, and the UK,” Munjal stated, framing the move as a natural extension of the company’s leadership in innovation and engineering.

Strong International Performance in FY25

In FY 2024-25, Hero MotoCorp saw a year-on-year growth of 43 percent in their international markets, which include territories ranging from South Asia through to Latin America. Munjal called out their progress as achieved through a stated focus on customer experience, quality, and scaling.

EV Segment Sees Exponential Growth

Hero’s electric mobility brand, VIDA, demonstrated an astonishing increase in sales of 200 percent due to its intentional evolution into urban retail spaces. Munjal said that the VIDA V2 has increased accessibility to electric two-wheelers, as it hopes to reach the modern commuter.

The company’s partnership with Ather Energy has further bolstered its presence in the premium electric two-wheeler segment and expanded India’s largest EV charging network.

Hero MotoCorp is also collaborating with Zero Motorcycles, a California-based EV company, to introduce a new premium electric motorcycle – a key milestone in its product innovation roadmap.

Strengthening EV Portfolio with Investments

Stressing the company’s wider commitment to electrification, Munjal mentioned a Rs 510 crore investment in Euler Motors, part of an initiative to establish Hero in the expanding electric three-wheeler opportunity.

“Each step reaffirms our belief – the future of mobility in India will be electric, inclusive, and innovation-led,” Munjal affirmed.

Leadership Commentary on Future Outlook

Vikram S Kasbekar, Executive Director and Acting CEO, projected FY 2025-26 as a year of “acceleration” for the company. He noted Hero MotoCorp will sharpen its premium portfolio, unlock value in its core segments, and deepen its global reach.

“Our ambition is to grow ahead of the industry, scale new peaks in every category, and expand across markets while remaining committed to operational excellence, customer-centricity, and sustainability,” Kasbekar said.

With its strong performance in FY25 and clear strategic direction, Hero MotoCorp appears poised to lead the next chapter of two-wheeler evolution both in India and across global markets.
