Hero MotoCorp Ltd., the world’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer, clocked a strong performance in May 2025 with dispatches of 5.08 lakh motorcycles and scooters, marking a sequential and year-on-year increase. The company also reported over 5 lakh VAHAN registrations, reinforcing its growing market momentum.

Electric Mobility: VIDA Shows Strong Traction

Hero’s electric sub-brand VIDA continued its upward trajectory with:

  • Dispatches of 8,361 units
  • 7,161 VAHAN registrations
  • 7.2% VAHAN market share in the electric two-wheeler segment

The company announced a new VIDA product launch slated for July 1, 2025, aiming to further accelerate EV adoption.

VIDA also leveraged the IPL season with its “Charging Simple Hai” campaign, highlighting the plug-and-play convenience of its removable battery—underscoring mass-market appeal through the use of standard 5-amp charging sockets.

Premium Retail Expansion & Global Momentum

Hero MotoCorp continued expanding its Premia retail network, now crossing 100 premium outlets across India. This supports its ambition to tap into the premium motorcycle segment more effectively.

In the global market, Bangladesh and Colombia delivered robust retail sales, with exports maintaining a stable course. Management anticipates further international growth based on increasing demand in key overseas markets.

Hero MotoSports Performance

Hero MotoSports added Austrian rider Tobias Ebster to its roster, reinforcing the team’s international aspirations. At the South African Safari Rally, Ignacio Cornejo finished 6th while FIM world champion Ross Branch showed resilience by securing 11th place despite a fall.
