US markets ended the day strongly in green yesterday, 26th June, 2025. This after tensions in Middle East eased. The increased expectation that US Federal Reserve will go for an interest rate cut sooner than later also pushed markets forward. The weekly jobless claims report from US Department of Labor, released yesterday, showed that though the number of people filing new jobless claims came down, the number of people on state unemployment benefit rolls touched its highest level in more than 3 years. This suggests that unemployment in US economy is rising up.
