Indowind Energy Q2 FY26 Profit Rises to ₹457.71 Lakh as Revenue Climbs to ₹1,774.33 Lakh

Chennai, November 14, 2025: Indowind Energy Ltd posted a strong Q2 FY26 performance, reporting revenue of ₹1,774.33 lakh and profit of ₹457.71 lakh for the quarter ended September 30, 2025. Despite these solid numbers, the stock trended weak, reflecting cautious investor sentiment even as the company delivered clear improvements in both top-line and bottom-line growth.
Indowind Energy Limited is a listed company in the renewable energy industry, which has been operating since 2007 and is involved in wind power generation in India. The company designs, constructs and operates wind farms and provides a whole gamut of services in power sales and asset maintenance services.
Q2 FY26 Revenue Development And Profit Growth
In Q2 FY26, Indowind Energy reported a strong rise in total revenue, which increased to ₹1,774.33 lakh from ₹1,591.89 lakh in the same quarter last year, supported by higher operating income. Operating revenue grew steadily, reflecting stable demand and improved power generation. The company also posted a profit after tax of ₹457.71 lakh, a significant improvement over the ₹16.01 lakh reported in Q2 FY25, highlighting stronger operational efficiency and a more streamlined cost structure.
Cost Movement And Efficiency Of Operations
Although revenue increased, Indowind also recorded higher expenses across several areas. Operating costs rose by ₹230.83 lakh, reaching ₹65.68 lakh, while selling and distribution expenses climbed to ₹305.19 lakh from ₹279.39 lakh. However, the company benefited from lower depreciation and amortisation costs, which declined to ₹361.26 lakh from ₹450.67 lakh last year. Other expenses also eased, reflecting stronger cost control and leaner operations. Additionally, deferred tax adjustments supported the bottom line, offering further momentum to overall profitability.
H1 FY 26 Performance Reflects Good Momentum
The company delivered a strong performance in the first half of FY26, supported by steady operational growth. Total revenue rose to ₹2,929.48 lakh, up from ₹2,328.55 lakh in the same period last year. Profit after tax increased to ₹715.40 lakh, reflecting consistent improvement across both quarters. The six-month results highlight solid generation output and sustained demand for renewable energy, reinforcing the company’s stable growth trajectory.
Stock Performance
At the close of November 14, 2025, the share price of Indowind Energy Limited inched up to ₹16.80, compared to the previous close of ₹16.58. While the stock has delivered strong quarterly and half-year returns, it traded near the lower band of the day’s range at ₹14.29–₹17.20. It also hovered close to its 52-week low of ₹14.16, indicating subdued market sentiment despite the company’s improving financial performance.
