Mumbai August, 18: Infosys Limited has entered into a strategic collaboration with Germany-based Knorr-Bremse AG to accelerate the modernisation of the latter’s enterprise technology environment through artificial intelligence.

According to the company’s exchange disclosure, the partnership will be part of Knorr-Bremse’s Tech4Value IT transformation programme. Infosys will support the company’s enterprise application landscape across its Rail and Commercial Vehicle divisions.

The engagement covers areas including core ERP, data platforms, engineering and product lifecycle management systems. Infosys said it will combine its SAP, data, engineering and PLM capabilities with AI-led tools powered by Infosys Topaz.

The objective is to simplify and modernise Knorr-Bremse’s IT environment, improve operational efficiency and support faster service delivery.

The collaboration adds another manufacturing-focused engagement to Infosys’ broader push into AI-enabled enterprise transformation.

Knorr-Bremse is a global manufacturer of braking systems and safety-critical components for rail and commercial vehicles. Infosys said its work will cover the wider enterprise application stack, with the transformation also aimed at improving engineering collaboration, employee experience and service governance.

Infosys Topaz will form part of the technology layer, with generative and agentic AI capabilities being used alongside the company’s existing SAP, data and engineering expertise.

The company said the partnership is intended to move Knorr-Bremse beyond traditional managed services towards a more AI-led operating model.
