JTL Industries Limited, a major player in steel tube making segment, has achieved the production of very first lot of 0.04 mm of brass foil making its entry into the non-ferrous and high specification material space.

Strategic Milestone: Entry into High-Value Brass Foil Segment

In a move that diversifies its product portfolio and enhances its value-added offerings, JTL has achieved this production through a strategic job work partnership. This approach has enabled the company to maintain premium quality standards while optimizing operational flexibility and cost-efficiency. The newly launched brass foil falls within the 0.04 mm to 0.1 mm (40–100 microns) thickness range, targeting advanced applications in defence and industrial domains.

Functional Applications Across Strategic Sectors

JTL’s ultra-thin brass foil serves several critical use cases, including:

  • EMI/RFI shielding in military electronics and communication systems
  • Ammunition components like primers and liners
  • Electrical grounding in defence assemblies
  • Protective wrapping in radar and weapon systems
  • Sensors and detection devices
  • High-performance gaskets and shims
  • Thermal control in aerospace applications such as satellites and aircraft

These applications demand lightweight, corrosion-resistant materials with high precision, reinforcing the foil’s relevance in emerging and defence technologies.

Management Commentary
