New Delhi, June 19: Kaynes Technology, a prominent electronics manufacturing services firm, has disclosed a floor price of ₹5,625.75 per share for its forthcoming Qualified Institutional Placement (QIP), through which it aims to raise ₹1,600 crore. This announcement was made in a regulatory filing on Thursday.

Strategic Objectives Of The Fundraise

The QIP issue was opened on June 19 following approvals from the board (on January 22) and shareholders (on February 14). This capital infusion is a pivotal element of Kaynes Technology’s overarching strategy to significantly expand its global footprint and enhance its technological capabilities. The expansion plan encompasses both organic growth initiatives and potential acquisitions.

A primary objective for the proceeds generated from this fundraise is to support overseas expansion. Furthermore, this capital will contribute towards Kaynes Technology’s long-term vision of achieving USD 1 billion in revenue by 2028.

Contribution To India’s Semiconductor Mission

A crucial component of Kaynes Technology’s growth strategy involves establishing a semiconductor assembly and testing facility. The estimated total capital expenditure for this ambitious project is ₹3,300 crore. Notably, this initiative is bolstered by substantial government support, with 50% of the funding anticipated from the central government and an additional 25% expected from the state government.

Shares In Focus

The shares of Kaynes Technology are expected to be in focus today. The shares opened on a positive note and were trading at ₹5,735.00, up ₹123.00, or 2.19%. It remains to be seen how the shares perform throughout the day and at what price they end today’s market session.

QIP Issue Ongoing: What’s Ahead?

Kaynes Technology’s QIP is a key step in funding its global expansion and semiconductor plans. The floor price of ₹5,625.75 reflects confidence in its valuation, although the actual investor response will shape the short-term movement. The success of the issue could strengthen the company’s balance sheet and support its long-term goal of reaching USD 1 billion in revenue by 2028. Investors may watch for updates on subscription levels and progress on the semiconductor facility.
