L&T’s GeoStructure business secured multiple significant orders across steel, inland waterways and marine infrastructure projects, helping shares edge higher in afternoon trade.

Mumbai, May 26: Larsen & Toubro (L&T) said its GeoStructure business has secured multiple significant orders across steel, inland waterways and marine infrastructure projects in India, according to a company disclosure.
The largest order was awarded by JSW Utkal Steel Ltd for its 10 MTPA Integrated Steel Plant at Paradeep, Odisha. L&T described the project as the largest piling order in the history of its GeoStructure business.
The contract covers nine major packages involving critical facilities including the Blast Furnace, Hot Strip Mill and Steel Melting Shop. The scope includes piling works spanning approximately 30 lakh running metres and is scheduled for execution within a stringent timeline.
The business has also secured two separate orders from the Inland Waterways Authority of India (IWAI) for engineering, procurement and construction of Ship Repair Facilities (SRFs) at Patna and Varanasi.
In addition, L&T received an order from the Mumbai Port Authority for construction of India’s first yacht marina at Mumbai Harbour. The project includes an approach trestle, piled breakwater, service platforms, concrete pontoons and gangways designed to support yacht operations.

Orders Strengthen Infrastructure Portfolio

Meanwhile, the Mumbai Harbour marina project is expected to support maritime tourism and strengthen infrastructure aligned with India’s blue economy initiatives.
These projects further expand L&T’s presence across steel, transportation and marine infrastructure segments.
