New Delhi, November 3, 2025 – Eyewear leader Lenskart will launch its maiden AI-powered smart glasses by the end of December. This is a strategic transformation from an eyewear retailer to a technology-driven lifestyle brand. The launch is slated for just after the company’s much-expected stock market debut on November 10.
Smart Glasses Powered by Gemini 2.5 Platform
The “B by Lenskart Smartglasses” is the internal codename for Lenskart’s newly smart glasses. Which are said to have AI-powered interactions as the primary support. Apart from this, they also feature real-time health insights and UPI payment – which are some of the other integrations of fashion and functionality. The smart glasses might be powered by the Gemini 2.5 AI-based platform along with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon AR1 Gen 1 chipset. Which is designed for augmented reality and camera-enabled AI applications.
The devices would enable the user to communicate without speech, receive guidance, and have their health monitored. Thus, the innovative company Lenskart is one of only a few Indian brands that are directly embedding advanced AI and AR features in consumer eyewear.
Collaboration with Qualcomm
The device evolution has been the result of an incessant collaboration of the two firms for product development. The announcement was made for the very first time at the Snapdragon for India XR Day in July 2025. This is going to lead AI and XR solutions to meet the needs of Indian consumers.
After infusing the most recent chip technology with Lenskart’s lavish design experience – the two companies will be working as one to introduce a product that effortlessly combines – fashion, comfort, and digital interaction – thereby changing the way users can do with the help of the new eyewear in their daily lives.
IPO Momentum and Tech-Driven Expansion
The release of smart glasses is in tandem with a massive public offering of Lenskart worth ₹7,278 crores that started on October 31 and will operate through November 4. After a company valuation of nearly ₹70,000 crore or USD 8 billion. The IPO got an excellent response as a full subscription was achieved on the very first day of the bidding.
Over the last year, Lenskart has been planting money deeply in a variety of startups that are working on AI, XR, and computer vision in order to build a strong technology ecosystem in-house. This appears to be a grander move wherein the company interweaves vision correction, smart interaction, and digital payments into one wearable device, thus becoming the leader in the Indian vision-tech industry.
Competitive Advantage in AI-powered Glasses
If everything goes as planned and the launch happens this December – then Lenskart could be one of the first consumer-tech brands in India to introduce, AI-powered eyewear to the market. As a result, it forms a direct rivalry with international giants like – Meta’s Ray-Ban Smart Glasses and Amazon Echo Frames while at the same time providing localized features and affordable price points for Indian consumers.
By means of – innovation, affordability, and localization of design, Lenskart may have a formidable competitive leverage in the Indian market. Which is a market that highly appreciates the blend of functionality and fashion. The product that is about to be launched reaffirms the company’s dedication to its vision – turning AI into a daily lifestyle accessory. Thus, only paving the way for new experiences in India’s wearable technology ecosystem.
