LGT Global Hospitality shares gained over 4% after the company expanded its Luxe Living serviced accommodation portfolio in Chennai by adding 19 new units.

Mumbai July, 20: LGT Global Hospitality Ltd. has expanded its Luxe Living serviced accommodation business in Chennai, adding 19 new units across two properties as it looks to deepen its presence in one of its key operating markets.
The company said the expansion includes 18 serviced apartment units at Thillai Residency in Korattur and one unit at Vinayaga Flats in Choolaimedu. Both properties are located close to commercial and residential hubs, giving guests easier access to business districts, industrial areas and transport links.
Rather than launching a new property, LGT is strengthening its existing serviced accommodation network. The additional inventory is aimed at business travellers, corporate clients, families and long-stay guests, a segment where demand has remained steady in major cities.
Managing Director Wilfred Selvaraj said the expansion reflects the company’s focus on growing its hospitality portfolio while continuing to improve the guest experience.
Stock Market Snapshot
Investors reacted positively to the announcement.
LGT Global Hospitality share price rose more than 4% during Monday’s trading session as buying interest picked up after the company disclosed the Chennai expansion. The stock recovered sharply in the afternoon, suggesting the market viewed the additional capacity as a positive step for the company’s growth strategy.
The company has not disclosed the investment involved or the revenue expected from the new units. However, increasing room inventory in an established market like Chennai could help strengthen occupancy and support future earnings if demand remains healthy.
Company Background

Its Luxe Living business focuses on professionally managed serviced accommodation designed primarily for business travellers and long-stay guests. Over the past few years, the company has gradually expanded this portfolio by adding properties in cities where corporate travel demand is strong.
Conclusion
The latest expansion is not a transformational announcement, but it adds fresh capacity to an existing business that the company has been steadily building. For investors, the update signals that LGT Global Hospitality continues to expand its footprint in the serviced accommodation space, a factor that helped lift the stock by more than 4% during the trading session.
