Order Wins
The first order won by the company is from Hindalco Industries for the company’s new greenfield project in Odisha. LT has to build a 180 KTPA aluminium smelter and Gas Treatment Centre (GTC) under the order. The scope of the project includes civil and structural works, the supply and erection and complete EPC of the GTC.
The company has also received an order from Tata Steel, Jamshedpur, to establish a 1 MTPA Coke Oven Battery 6 A/B. Under this order, L&T has to engineer, manufacture, supply, construct, and install the plant. In addition to these major wins, there has also been an influx in the general number of orders received by the company, mostly due to an increase in the domestic demand for stacker reclaimers, wagon tipplers, crushers, and surface miners across the mining and materials-handling sectors.
Management Commentary
Showing enthusiasm towards the new order wins, T. Kumaresan, Senior Vice President & Head – Minerals & Metals, L&T, said, “These order wins across the aluminium and steel sectors are a testament to L&T’s engineering excellence, execution capability, and enduring customer relationships. They strengthen our role in shaping India’s industrial infrastructure while deepening ties with the steel sector through world-class execution and technological innovation.”
