Lupin Reappoints K.B.S. Anand as Independent Director for Second Term 

Pharmaceutical major Lupin Limited announced key changes to its Board of Directors, following decisions approved at its recent board meeting held on May 19, 2025.

The Nomination and Remuneration Committee (NRC) and Board of Directors has also approved, the re-appointment of Mr. Kanwar Bir Singh Anand as Independent Director of the Company, for a second term of 5 years with effect from August 12, 2025 to August 11, 2030 (both days inclusive), subject to the approval of shareholders.

Who is Mr.Kanwar Bir Singh Anand?

Mr. Anand is an experienced industry veteran, whose impressive career spans corporate leadership. He is a Mechanical Engineer from IIT Bombay and Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management from IIM Calcutta with specialization in Marketing. He was the Managing Director and CEO of Asian Paints until his retirement in 2020.

He serves on the board of several well-known institutions, among them:

• Borosil Limited
• Tata Chemicals Limited
• Bharat Forge Limited
• UFO Moviez India Limited
• Galaxy Surfactants Limited

Tenure Ending for Dr.Punita Kumar- Sinha 

Dr. Punita Kumar-Sinha will complete her tenure as Independent Director of the Company with effect from closing of business hours on October 26, 2020.

Lupin also confirmed that the tenure of Dr. Punita Kumar-Sinha, independent director on the Board, would come to an end on August 11, 2025 and she has expressed her intention not to seek another term.

As part of the transition process, and to provide continued strategic advice, Dr. Sinha has agreed to serve as an Advisor to the Company, effective August 12, 2025 through November 11, 2025.
