Mahindra & Mahindra has increased its stake in Mahindra Logistics to 57.97%. It subscribed to the rights issue of Mahindra Logistics for increasing its stake in the company.
At 12:40 p.m. IST, 19th August, Mahindra & Mahindra’s stock price is up by 0.044% at Rs 3,384.60. Mahindra Logistics stock price is up by 0.85% at Rs 327.30. The broader Nifty 50 index is up by 0.39% at this time.
Mahindra Logistics is an integrated third-party logistics (3PL) company. In FY25, its standalone revenue was ₹5,012.56 crore, while its consolidated revenue was ₹6,104.83 crore. Furthermore, its FY25 standalone net worth was ₹697.87 crore, with standalone revenue coming at ₹5,012.56.
With the increased stake, Mahindra & Mahindra can now exercise higher operational control over Mahindra Logistics. However, it is a good sign for investors as it shows M&M’s confidence and intent to expand its logistics business in the future.
As the Indian market is witnessing a rapid growth in the demand for e-commerce logistics, Mahindra Logistics can now better utilise M&M’s business expertise. With higher parental control, it is expected that Mahindra Logistics will now see better access to capital and technology going forward.
