Mumbai, June 9: Marsons has secured a ₹9.48 crore order from West Bengal State Electricity Transmission Company Limited (WBSETCL) for repair, inspection and testing of high-capacity power transformers.

The company informed exchanges through a Regulation 30 filing submitted to BSE and the National Stock Exchange.

According to the disclosure, the contract covers servicing and testing of 50MVA, 132/33 KV power transformers, including transportation of the equipment to and from project locations.

The total order value stands at ₹9,48,36,600, inclusive of GST. Marsons said the contract has been awarded by a domestic entity and is scheduled to be executed over a period of six to 12 months.

The filing also clarified that the transaction is not related-party in nature and that promoters or promoter group entities do not have any interest in the awarding authority.

Stock Market Snapshot

Marsons share price moved sharply higher after the company announced the order, with investors reacting to the addition of a fresh utility-sector contract to its execution pipeline.

The stock was trading at ₹131, up 8.80%, as of 10:59 IST on June 09, 2026, according to market data.

Buying interest in the counter picked up during the session as the order reinforced expectations around demand for transformer servicing, refurbishment and grid maintenance work across the power transmission sector.

The Marsons share price has also remained in focus amid continued government and state utility spending on transmission infrastructure upgrades and equipment reliability.

Company Focused on Power Engineering Business

Marsons operates in the power equipment and transformer manufacturing segment, supplying products and engineering services to utilities and industrial customers.

Apart from manufacturing transformers, the company also undertakes repair, testing and refurbishment work for transmission infrastructure assets. Such contracts typically support recurring execution opportunities within the utility ecosystem.

The latest WBSETCL order strengthens Marsons’ presence in the state electricity transmission segment, where maintenance and lifecycle management of transformer assets remain critical for uninterrupted grid operations.

Order Adds Visibility to Near-Term Execution

The contract is expected to contribute to the company’s executable order book over the coming quarters.

While the order size is relatively moderate compared with large EPC contracts in the sector, the development is seen as operationally meaningful for a company of Marsons’ scale, particularly in the servicing and maintenance business where repeat utility orders often improve execution continuity.

The company submitted the disclosure in compliance with SEBI’s Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements regulations.
