Most Active Equities, August 28, 2026, 3:59 PM IST: Vodafone Idea, PC Jeweller Lead Trading

Mumbai August, 28: Vodafone Idea Limited and PC Jeweller Limited were comfortably ahead of the pack in trading activity as of 3:59 PM IST, with both counters seeing more than 36 crore shares change hands.

Vodafone Idea And PC Jeweller Dominate Activity

Vodafone Idea recorded 37.55 crore shares in volume, although the stock slipped 1.94% to ₹14.68. PC Jeweller was close behind with 36.04 crore shares traded and ended 0.82% lower at ₹10.92.

IFCI Limited was the next most active counter, with 13.93 crore shares changing hands. Unlike the top two, IFCI gained 7.04% to ₹90.20.

Alok Industries Sees Sharp Fall

GACM Technologies and Ola Electric Mobility also attracted heavy participation while gaining 4.90% and 3.19%, respectively. Alok Industries, however, stood out on the weaker side, falling 11.51% to ₹9.23 despite 8.51 crore shares being traded.

The Vodafone Idea share price remained under pressure despite the stock topping the volume chart, while IFCI combined strong trading activity with a sizeable gain.

Conclusion

Vodafone Idea and PC Jeweller were the clear volume leaders, together accounting for more than 73 crore shares traded. IFCI was the strongest gainer among the top three, while Alok Industries recorded the sharpest decline in the group.
