Crude Oil Futures Rise Tracking Global Trends

New Delhi: Crude oil prices rose Rs 94 to Rs 8,722 per barrel in futures trade on Wednesday amid positive global trends.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil futures for October delivery rose Rs 94, or 1.09 per cent, to Rs 8,722 per barrel in a business turnover of 13,287 lots.

Analysts said the rise in bets by participants kept crude oil prices higher in futures trade.

Globally, West Texas Intermediate crude was trading at USD 90.04 per barrel, up 0.67 per cent. Brent crude was marginally higher by 1.34 per cent at USD 101.93 per barrel in New York.
