Mumbai, July 14, 2025 – Nelco Ltd (BSE: 504112, NSE: NELCO EQ) today reported its unaudited financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2025 (Q1 FY26). The company posted a consolidated net profit of ₹1.80 crore, rebounding from a loss of ₹4.08 crore in Q4 FY25, though it marked a YoY decline from ₹4.56 crore in Q1 FY25.

Standalone Performance

The standalone net profit stood at ₹1.16 crore in Q1 FY26, compared to a net loss of ₹3 lakh in Q4 FY25 and ₹4.13 crore in Q1 FY25. Total income came in at ₹47.55 crore, down 10.93% YoY.

Cost Audit Reappointment

The Board has also approved the reappointment of P.D. Dani & Associates as Cost Auditors for FY 2025–26. The firm, led by Mr. Praful D. Dani and Mr. Sandeep Poddar, has over 60 years of combined experience in cost and management accounting across industries.

Tax and Regulatory Updates

  • The company reversed a previously recognized liability of ₹22 lakh during the quarter, based on a Supreme Court order dated May 17, 2024, related to the Telecom License Fee matter.
  • It also recorded ₹2.24 crore as interest income from income tax refunds during the quarter.

Segment and Dividend Details

Nelco continues to operate as a single-segment entity – Network Systems. The company reaffirmed the ₹1.00 per share final dividend (FY25) declared in the June 24 AGM. Dividend yield based on the face value of ₹10 is 10%.

Management Commentary

P. J. Nath, Managing Director & CEO, signed off on the results, stating the company remains focused on leveraging its network services expertise while navigating sectoral and regulatory complexities.

Nelco Stock Performance

Nelco shares have dipped 5.2%, closing at ₹897 on July 14, 2025, on the National Stock Exchange. Nelco shares have gained 6.96% in the last year, but have declined 33% in the year-to-date and 20% in the previous month.
