Nibe shares gained after the company said its defence subsidiary received a manufacturing and proof-testing licence for firearms and ammunition.

Mumbai, June 8: Nibe subsidiary, Nibe Defence and Aerospace, has received a licence from the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trae (DPIIT) for manufacturing and proof-testing of firearms and ammunition.
The company disclosed the development through an exchange filing under Regulation 30 of SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
According to the filing, the licence has been granted under provisions of the Arms Act, 1959, Arms Rules, 2016 and related notifications issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs.
Nibe said the approval allows the subsidiary to manufacture and conduct proof-testing for firearms and ammunition systems. The licence will remain valid for a lifetime period, as per the disclosure.
