As of 4:00 PM IST on Thursday, July 9, 2026, Sun Pharma, Bharti Airtel and Bajaj Finserv led the Nifty 50 gainers, while Dr Reddy’s, Maruti Suzuki and ONGC topped the losers’ list.
Mumbai, July 9: The Nifty 50 ended Thursday with mixed sectoral trends as buying in healthcare, telecom and financial stocks offset weakness in select oil & gas, automobile and pharmaceutical counters.
Sun Pharma, Bharti Airtel and Bajaj Finserv emerged among the session’s strongest performers, while Dr Reddy’s Laboratories, Maruti Suzuki and ONGC featured prominently on the losing side.

Healthcare and Telecom Stocks Outperform
As of 4:00 PM IST, healthcare and telecom names attracted buying interest, with the Sun Pharma share price leading the benchmark gainers. Bharti Airtel and Bajaj Finserv also posted solid gains, while IndiGo, Eternal and Grasim Industries traded firmly in positive territory.
On the downside, Dr Reddy’s Laboratories recorded the steepest decline among Nifty constituents. Maruti Suzuki and ONGC also remained under pressure, alongside Infosys, NTPC and Hindalco Industries.
