Mumbai, June 23: Cipla, Sun Pharmaceutical Industries and Asian Paints emerged as the top gainers in the Nifty 50 on Tuesday, while Infosys, Tata Consultancy Services and Hindalco Industries were among the biggest laggards.
The benchmark index traded with mixed sectoral participation, with buying visible in pharmaceutical and select financial counters, while information technology and metals stocks remained under pressure.
Cipla Tops Gainers, Sun Pharma Extends Advance
Cipla led the gainers’ list, rising 2.93% to ₹1,457.20. Sun Pharmaceutical Industries added 1.18% to ₹1,884.90, supported by steady buying interest during the session.
Asian Paints gained 0.81% to ₹2,672.40, while Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories rose 0.74% to ₹1,300.30. Shriram Finance advanced 0.67% to ₹999.50.
