Nifty 50 June 22, 2026, Gainers: Cipla, Tech Mahindra, Dr Reddy's Lead

Cipla led Nifty 50 gainers at the close on June 22, 2026, while Asian Paints and Titan were among the biggest laggards as the benchmark index ended with mixed sectoral performance.

Mumbai, June 22: Cipla, Tech Mahindra and Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories emerged as the top gainers in the Nifty 50 index on Monday, supported by buying in pharmaceutical and information technology stocks, while Asian Paints, Titan and Nestle India ended among the key losers.
Cipla Tops the Gainers List
Cipla led the benchmark index with a gain of 4.82%, closing at ₹1,417.00. The stock also witnessed robust trading activity, with more than 3.36 crore shares changing hands during the session.
Tech Mahindra advanced 2.16% to ₹1,440.00, while Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories gained 1.56% to ₹1,292.00. Automobile major Bajaj Auto added 1.47%, and Sun Pharmaceutical Industries rose 1.40%.
Infosys and Reliance Industries also contributed to the positive momentum, helping offset weakness in select financial and consumption stocks.

Asian Paints, Titan and Nestle India Drag
On the downside, Asian Paints was the biggest loser in the Nifty 50 pack, declining 2.20% to ₹2,672.90.
Titan fell 1.20% to ₹4,367.00, while Nestle India slipped 1.05% to ₹1,400.00. Shriram Finance and Trent also ended lower as profit booking emerged in select stocks.
The weakness in consumer-facing and discretionary stocks contrasted with strength in healthcare and technology names.

Sectoral Rotation Defines the Session
The session reflected a clear rotation into pharmaceutical and technology counters, with Cipla, Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, Sun Pharmaceutical Industries, Infosys and Tech Mahindra finishing in positive territory.
Meanwhile, selling pressure remained visible in paints, retail, consumer goods and select financial stocks, limiting broader market gains.
The Cipla share price remained one of the most closely tracked moves of the day after outperforming all other Nifty 50 constituents.
Conclusion
As of 4:00 PM IST on June 22, 2026, Cipla, Tech Mahindra and Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories led the Nifty 50 gainers, while Asian Paints, Titan and Nestle India headed the losers’ list. Strength in pharma and IT stocks helped counter weakness in consumption-oriented sectors, resulting in a mixed finish for the benchmark index.
