Nifty Extends Gains but Faces Key Resistance at 25,750-25,800

After witnessing an excellent bounce back from the lows on Monday, Nifty continued with follow-through upmove with range bound action on Tuesday and closed the day higher by 42 points. After opening on a weak note, the market recovered again from the day’s low in the early part of the session. But, was not able to surpass the hurdle of 25750 levels.

A reasonable positive candle was formed on the daily chart with minor upper and lower shadow. Technically, this market action signal breather in the market after a sharp bounce back in previous session. The crucial hurdle of previous opening downside gap of 13^th Feb has been filled completely on the upside at 25750 levels.

The underlying short-term trend of Nifty remains positive. A decisive move above the hurdle of 25750-25800 levels is likely to bring bulls into further action towards the upside of 26000 and next 26350 in the near term. Immediate support is placed at 25600 levels.
