New Delhi, June 9: NTPC Limited (NSE: NTPC, BSE: 532555) has announced the commencement of commercial operation of 193 MW out of the planned 245 MW capacity at Plot-3 of its Nokh Solar PV Project in Rajasthan, effective from 00:00 hours on June 9, 2025.

This partial commissioning is an important milestone for the company’s larger Nokh Solar PV installation, which comprises three units of 245 MW each. For the project, the company has also notified the stock exchanges in compliance with Regulation 30 of the SEBI (LODR) Regulations, 2015.

With the latest addition, NTPC’s total operational capacity has been enhanced as follows:

Boost To Renewable Energy Portfolio

The COD of 193 MW strengthens NTPC’s growing renewable energy portfolio as part of its transition to green energy. The Nokh Solar PV project is a crucial step toward meeting the company’s clean energy targets and contributing to India’s broader renewable energy ambitions.

Affect On Stock Price

The shares of NTPC closed 1.28%, or ₹4.20 higher, at ₹332.85 on Friday, June 6th. It reached an intraday high of ₹333.50 and a low of ₹329.05. It remains to be seen where the share price will open today and where it will close at the end of today’s market session.
