NTPC Green Energy Limited declared the second part capacity of 165 MW under its 1,200 MW Khavda-II Solar PV Project in Gujarat operational from 00:00 hrs, lifting the group’s installed base, as per a Regulation 30 disclosure to exchanges.
Commercial Operation Of 165 MW At Khavda-II
In its filing dated 20 February 2026 (Ref. No.: 01: SEC), the company informed the National Stock Exchange of India and BSE Limited that the additional 165 MW capacity has been commissioned at the Khavda-II Solar PV Project located in Gujarat.
The project is housed under NTPC Renewable Energy Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy Limited. The declaration has been made under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, which mandates prompt disclosure of material events.
Following this addition, the current commercial capacity of NTPC Green Energy Limited Group stands at 8,827.68 MW. With the newly operational 165 MW, the total installed capacity has increased to 8,992.68 MW, according to the regulatory communication signed by Manish Kumar, Company Secretary & Compliance Officer.
For context, a declaration of commercial operation date (COD) signifies that the asset has met required technical and contractual parameters and is eligible to begin revenue generation under applicable power purchase arrangements.
