Mumbai, June 18: Oben Electric, an electric motorcycle manufacturer based in Bengaluru, has announced that it has successfully secured an additional ₹50 crore in an extended Series A funding round. This latest capital infusion brings the total raised in this Series A round to ₹100 crore, pushing the company’s plans to expand its distribution network aggressively, enhance product innovation, and strengthen its manufacturing and after-sales infrastructure.

The funding round saw participation from both new and existing investors, including Helios Holdings, the Sharda family office, the Kay family, and others.

Oben Electric plans to utilise the funds to expand its retail presence to over 150 showrooms across more than 50 cities by FY26. A significant part of the capital will also be directed toward accelerating the development of its new ‘O100’ platform, a sub-₹1 lakh electric motorcycle designed to cater to the mass market.

“This is not just a retail expansion. We are doubling down on innovation with platforms like O100 to democratise electric motorcycles,” said Madhumita Agrawal, Founder and CEO of Oben Electric.

Strengthening Manufacturing and After-Sales Network

To support its rapid growth, Oben Electric plans to scale its existing Bengaluru manufacturing facility, which currently has an annual production capacity of 100,000 units. The company will also boost its after-sales service capabilities to ensure customer satisfaction as its user base expands. Oben Electric’s strategy includes vertical integration, designing and manufacturing key components, such as LFP batteries, motors, and vehicle control units, in-house.

Robust Growth and Total Capital Raised

Following its initial Series A raise, Oben Electric has rapidly scaled operations. The company has already established 37 retail outlets across 26 cities in 13 states, including key markets like Punjab, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Telangana, Chhattisgarh, and Odisha.

What’s In The Future For Oben Electric?

With this latest infusion, Oben Electric’s total capital raised to date now stands at ₹200 crore, solidifying its position as a fast-growing player in India’s electric mobility landscape. The company is reportedly also planning to raise $30 million in a Series B round later in 2025 to support international expansion and further scale up production.
