Mumbai, April 28: Paras Defence and Space Technologies Ltd on Tuesday said it has signed a three-way memorandum of understanding with Complus Systems Pvt Ltd and JV Micronics to jointly develop advanced defence testing infrastructure.

The partnership will focus on building anechoic and semi-anechoic chambers — specialised facilities used to test radar systems, antennas and sensitive electronics in controlled, interference-free environments. These systems are a critical part of defence and aerospace development, where precision and reliability are essential.

Under the arrangement, Paras Defence will take the lead role, overseeing design, manufacturing and installation, while also handling client engagement and overall execution. Its partners will contribute expertise in instrumentation, engineering and manufacturing.

Stock Market Snapshot

Paras Defence and Space Technologies Ltd share price showed little movement following the announcement.

By 12:50 p.m. IST, the stock was trading at ₹807.90, marginally down ₹0.20, or 0.02%, from its previous close of ₹808.10, according to exchange data. The stock largely moved within a narrow band through the session.

The muted response reflects a typical market approach to such announcements, where strategic intent is noted but financial impact is seen as longer term.

Building Capabilities in a Niche Area

Anechoic chambers are not standard industrial products. They sit at the high end of defence electronics infrastructure, requiring a combination of design precision, specialised materials and system integration.

By working through a consortium, the companies aim to bring together complementary strengths from engineering design to manufacturing and RF absorption technologies to offer end-to-end solutions.

For Paras Defence, taking the lead integrator role signals a step closer to end customers and larger project ownership.

Execution Will Drive Impact

The MoU sets out a framework for collaboration but does not include confirmed orders or project timelines.

That means the near-term financial impact is likely to be limited, with the real opportunity depending on how quickly these partnerships convert into executable contracts.

For now, the move adds another layer to Paras Defence and Space Technologies Ltd’s capabilities in defence infrastructure — an area where demand is expected to grow alongside increased focus on domestic manufacturing.
