Power Grid’s March Quarter Profit Down by 0.6%

Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd, a “Maharatna” company, has reported strong consolidated financial results for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2025.

Q4 FY25 Consolidated Financial Highlights

• The company reported total operating revenue of ₹12,275.35 crore during the quarter under review compared with ₹11,978.11 crore in Q4 FY24, registering a marginal 2.5% YoY growth.
• Total Income also slipped to ₹12,590.80 crore over ₹12,305.39 crore, a growth of 2.3 % YoY.
• Total expenses were restricted to ₹7,549.92 crore (₹7,066.23 crore), showing only a marginal growth of 6.8% on the high side on account of higher depreciation and other costs.
• The Profit before Tax (PBT) was at ₹5,011.30 crore, 5.5% down from ₹5,300.89 crore in Q4 FY24.
• Net profit after tax at ₹4142.87 crore is down 0.6% YoY vs 4166.33 crore in the corresponding quarter.
• Earnings Per Share (EPS) for Q4 FY25 was ₹4.46 with movement in regulatory balances and ₹4.40 without that, for Q4 FY24. EPS was at ₹4.48 and ₹4.67, respectively.

Segment-Wise Highlights

• Transmission Segment, the major revenue-earning segment, contributed ₹11,710.65 crore in Q4 FY25 as against ₹11,766.40 crore in Q4 FY24.
• Consultancy Revenue spurted to ₹517.74 crore from ₹234.91 crore, and recorded robust YoY growth.
• Telecom Segment Revenue increased to ₹302.85 crore from ₹249.68 crore in Q4 FY24, registering a strong growth of 21.3%.

Dividend Announcement:

The Board of Directors proposed a final dividend of ₹1.25 per share in addition to the interim dividends of ₹7.75 per share paid/declared previously, taking the total dividend for the full year FY25 to ₹9.00 per share.
