Mumbai, July 13: Buying momentum remained firmly concentrated in select SME and micro-cap counters on Monday, with several stocks trading close to their exchange-prescribed upper price bands. While the broader market witnessed stock-specific movements across sectors, the price band hitters list reflected continued appetite for high-momentum names where buying demand consistently outpaced selling pressure.

Silvertuc, Mobilise and Snehaa Headline the Day’s Price Band Movers

Silvertuc emerged among the strongest performers, rising 4.99% to ₹188.14, while Mobilise gained 4.96% to ₹112.20 as buyers remained firmly in control.

Snehaa advanced 4.95% to ₹48.80, closely followed by Utkal, which climbed 4.84% to ₹24.90. Quintegra also featured prominently after gaining 4.62%, while Impex Ferro Tech added 4.59% and SRPL rose 2.86%.

Although several counters approached their upper price limits, trading activity remained largely confined to individual stocks rather than reflecting a broad-based rally across the SME universe.

Top Price Band Hitters

Stock LTP Change Price Band
Silvertuc ₹188.14 ▲ 4.99% 5%
Mobilise ₹112.20 ▲ 4.96% 5%
Snehaa Organics ₹48.80 ▲ 4.95% 5%
Utkal specialities ₹24.90 ▲ 4.84% 5%
Quintegra ₹1.36 ▲ 4.62% 5%
Impex Ferro Tech ₹2.28 ▲ 4.59% 5%

A Few Counters Witness Selling Pressure

Not every stock on the list enjoyed buying momentum. ICELCO declined 2.58%, while PPSL fell 3.92%. SKIL Infrastructure slipped 4.35%, and MEP Infrastructure Developers lost 1.56%, highlighting that selling pressure remained visible in select counters even as the broader price band list was skewed toward gainers.

The mixed performance underscores that investor participation continues to be highly selective, with capital flowing into stocks showing stronger momentum and liquidity.

Why Price Band Hitters Matter

Price bands are daily trading limits set by stock exchanges to curb excessive volatility in individual securities. Stocks approaching these limits generally experience a sharp imbalance between buyers and sellers, making them closely watched by traders for potential momentum opportunities.

However, appearing on the price band hitters list does not automatically indicate an improvement in a company’s financial performance or long-term prospects. Market participants typically evaluate volume trends, delivery data, exchange filings and company-specific announcements alongside price action before taking investment decisions.

Conclusion

Monday’s price band activity highlighted continued investor interest in select SME and micro-cap stocks, with Silvertuc, Mobilise, Snehaa, Utkal and Quintegra emerging as the session’s standout performers. While sustained buying helped these counters trade close to their upper limits, investors will watch whether the momentum is supported by stronger volumes and corporate developments in the coming sessions, or whether profit booking begins to temper the recent rally.
