RailTel Secures ₹15.67 Crore Railway Signalling Order; Shares Down 1%

RailTel Corporation of India secured a ₹15.67 crore signalling contract from North Western Railway, while the stock traded lower on May 18.

Mumbai, May 18: RailTel Corporation of India Ltd said it has secured a railway signalling contract valued at ₹15.67 crore from North Western Railway for work in Rajasthan, according to an exchange disclosure filed with the NSE and BSE.
The company said it received a Letter of Acceptance from Sr. DSTE, Jodhpur for provision of double distant signalling work in the Jaiwal (JWL)-Nawa City (NAC) section of the Jodhpur division under North Western Railway.
As per the regulatory filing submitted under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, the estimated contract value stands at ₹15,67,22,761 including taxes.
The order relates to railway double distant signalling infrastructure and has been categorised as a domestic contract. RailTel said the project is scheduled to be executed by May 13, 2027.
The company further clarified that neither the promoter group nor related parties have any interest in the entity awarding the contract.

RailTel share price traded lower in early market activity on May 18. The stock was trading at ₹318, down 0.66% from the previous close, as of 9:07 AM IST.
According to market data, the stock opened at ₹318 and remained at the same level during the observed session. The company’s market stood at around ₹10,210 crore.
