New Delhi, Sep 25, 2025 – Reliance Industries subsidiary Reliance Consumer Products Ltd (RCPL) inked an agreement of ₹40,000 crore with Ministry of Food Processing Industries. With this agreement, it will be able to install food manufacturing plants across India. The agreement was signed on the occasion of World Food India 2025 in New Delhi.

Largest Food Park Initiative in Asia

Reliance Industries publicized this massive investment plan for the first time in its annual meet held in August. They aim to develop Asia’s biggest integrated food parks through the use of AI driven automation, robotics and sustainable technologies.

First projects in Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh

RCPL will invest more than ₹1,500 crores to set up food and beverages plants at Katol, Nagpur (Maharashtra), and Kurnool (Andhra Pradesh). These hubs are expected to form the cornerstone of the wider nationwide expansion.

RCPL’s Rapid Growth

RCPL originated from Reliance Retail and has gradually evolved as one of India’s quickest-growing FMCG businesses. Within three years, it has generated revenue over ₹11,000 crore, acquired brands such as Tagz Foods, and introduced numerous products under brand names such as Campa, Independence, Alan’s, Enzo, and Ravalgaon.

Ambitious Roadmap Ahead

Reliance director Isha Ambani told at Reliance’s AGM in August that RCPL is one of the group’s “growth engine” businesses. They will touch ₹1 lakh crore in revenue in five years and go international. She also mentioned that going into the FMCG segment will help them get into new segments like apparel and electronics. This massive ₹40,000-crore commitment indicates that Reliance aims to consolidate leadership in India’s rapidly expanding consumer goods space and transform the food processing and manufacturing landscape.
