RITES & CMPDI Ink MoU to Explore Mining and Renewable Energy Projects

Gurugram, July 23, 2025 – RITES Limited (NSE: RITES, BSE: 541556), a premier transport infrastructure consultancy and engineering firm, has entered into a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Central Mine Planning & Design Institute Limited (CMPDI), a wholly owned subsidiary of Coal India Limited. The MoU aims to unlock collaborative opportunities in the mining and renewable energy sectors, both in India and globally.

Leveraging Complementary Strengths

The partnership seeks to leverage complementary strengths by creating a framework. It will identify, assess, and jointly pursue prospective projects and consultancy assignments across mining, power, renewables, and related infrastructure domains. Under it:

• RITES will contribute its international experience, market intelligence, and logistics infrastructure expertise for effective evacuation and project delivery.
• CMPDI will tap into its core competence in mine planning, environmental engineering, and geological services to secure high-potential mining and energy assignments.

The two PSUs will jointly conduct feasibility studies, submit project proposals, and execute consultancy assignments across mutually agreed geographies.

RITES Eyes Global Projects Through Expanded Portfolio

By aligning with CMPDI, RITES intends to bolster its positioning in the mining consultancy segment and broaden its footprint in renewable infrastructure, further enhancing its international project base spanning over 55 countries.
