Mumbai, 18 July 2025: In a key development that reinforces India’s growing role in global defence manufacturing, RRP Defense Ltd (BSE: 530929) has received a Letter of Intent (LOI) from France-based CYGR for the production of advanced Drone Command Modules (DCMs). The project, to be executed at RRP’s Indian facility, is valued between USD 20–30 million and is aimed at fulfilling CYGR’s international commitments. The deal marks a significant step under the “Make in India – Secure by Design” initiative, expanding India’s presence in high-end export-oriented defence manufacturing.
CYGR Selects Indian Manufacturer for Major Defence Export Project
CYGR, a Franco-American defence technology firm specialising in tactical unmanned aerial systems and command platforms, has chosen RRP Defense Ltd as its partner for an export-led manufacturing collaboration. As per the announcement made on 17 July 2025, the partnership will focus on the production, assembly, and testing of CYGR’s drone command and mission management units, with the goal of supplying up to 1,000 units to global clients.
This selection represents a vote of confidence in India’s growing defence production capabilities and serves as a catalyst for strengthening Indo-French industrial cooperation in aerospace and unmanned systems.

RRP Defense Deepens Commitment to Global Defence Collaboration
In its official filing, RRP Defense Ltd stated that the initiative supports its long-term vision to build resilient global supply chains and expand India’s defence manufacturing footprint. The collaboration will also help bolster bilateral ties and promote India as a trusted manufacturing hub in the global aerospace sector.

CYGR’s Co-CEO, George El Aily, added, “We look forward to working closely with RRP Defense Ltd on this important strategic engagement,” affirming CYGR’s intent to deepen its global manufacturing alliances through India.
New Corporate Entity Signals Broader Aerospace Ambitions
In a parallel corporate update, RRP Defense Ltd has filed for the incorporation of a new entity named “Vimanu Limited.” This move is aimed at consolidating and expanding its presence in aerospace and defence manufacturing, indicating the company’s growing focus on next-generation defence technologies and export-oriented growth strategies.
The company, formerly known as Euro Asia Exports Ltd, has steadily shifted towards strategic defence production and international collaboration, positioning itself as a competitive player in the global market.

International Recognition Strengthens RRP Defense’s Long-Term Outlook
The LOI from CYGR France adds meaningful weight to RRP Defense’s growth story, reflecting the global market’s increasing interest in India’s defence manufacturing capabilities. While the agreement is currently in the initial phase, its scale and export potential reinforce the company’s trajectory towards becoming a long-term participant in the global defence value chain.
