Mumbai, June 04: Shree Refrigerations has secured fresh purchase orders worth around ₹2.55 crore from state-run defence shipbuilder Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Ltd (MDL), strengthening its order pipeline in the industrial and marine cooling solutions segment.
According to the company’s exchange filing, the orders relate to the supply of OBS Spare and B & D Spare for AC Plants as well as FCU repair, maintenance and installation services.
The company said the work will be executed through two separate purchase orders with different delivery schedules. One order is expected to be completed within 12 months from the purchase order date, while the second order carries an execution timeline up to June 7, 2027.
Although the contract value may appear relatively modest compared with large engineering companies, securing orders from a major defence shipyard like Mazagon Dock is considered strategically important because such clients typically involve long-term maintenance, repair and replacement opportunities.
The company also clarified that the transaction does not involve any related-party interest.
Stock Market Snapshot
Investors reacted positively to the development.
As of 3:30 PM IST on June 4, 2026, Shree Refrigerations shares were trading at ₹304.00, up 1.38% or ₹4.15 from the previous close of ₹299.85.
The Shree Refrigerations share price remained volatile through the session, climbing above ₹310 during intraday trade before giving up part of the gains later in the day.
Despite the pullback from session highs, the stock managed to close in positive territory, indicating that investors viewed the Mazagon Dock order as supportive for near-term business visibility.
Why The Orders Matter
For specialised engineering and refrigeration service providers, repeat industrial and defence-linked contracts are closely watched because they help build recurring revenue streams and strengthen credibility with institutional clients.
Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders, one of India’s leading defence shipyards, undertakes naval shipbuilding and submarine projects that require sophisticated cooling, ventilation and air-conditioning systems. Vendors associated with such projects often gain access to longer-duration service opportunities.
The latest order also highlights continuing demand for maintenance and repair work alongside equipment supply, a segment that generally offers more stable execution visibility compared with one-time installation contracts.
For smaller listed engineering companies, steady order inflows are especially important because they provide investors with visibility into operational momentum and future revenue generation.

Conclusion
The ₹2.55 crore order win from Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders adds another institutional client assignment to Shree Refrigerations’ order book and strengthens its execution pipeline over the next two years.
