What Is the Cost of 10 Grams of Silver in Delhi?

At the current rate of ₹255 per gram, 10 grams of silver has a base value of ₹2,550.

The calculator shown assumes a 12% making charge and 3% GST. On that basis, the estimated bill is:

Cost Component Amount
Base value ₹2,550
Making charges ₹306
GST (3%) ₹86
Total Amount ₹2,942

So, under these assumptions, 10 grams of silver would cost approximately ₹2,942 after making charges and GST.

The actual final price can differ from this calculation depending on the product and jeweller.

Today’s Rise: How Much More Are Buyers Paying?

The ₹10 per gram increase may look small at first, but it adds up quickly:

  • 10 grams: ₹100 more than yesterday
  • 100 grams: ₹1,000 more
  • 1 kg: ₹10,000 more

Compared with August 4, the difference is even larger. Silver has gained ₹20 per gram, which means a 1 kg purchase has become ₹20,000 more expensive on the base rate.

For someone buying silver for jewellery or investment, the quantity being purchased makes a big difference to how much these daily price movements affect the overall cost.

Should You Buy Silver at ₹255 Per Gram?

That depends on the reason for the purchase.

If you’re buying silver jewellery, coins or articles for a specific occasion, the daily rate shouldn’t be the only thing you look at. Making charges can vary significantly between products and jewellers, so the final bill matters more than the headline price.

If you’re buying silver as an investment, it’s worth remembering that silver prices can move both up and down. Today’s rise alone doesn’t guarantee that prices will continue in the same direction.

A better approach is to consider your investment horizon and compare the available options before putting money into the metal.

Silver Rate Is Not the Same as the Final Jewellery Price

The ₹255 per gram figure is the indicative silver rate. It should not automatically be treated as the final amount you’ll pay at a shop.

Depending on what you’re purchasing, the final bill may include:

  • Silver value
  • Making charges
  • GST
  • Product-specific charges
  • Other applicable levies

So, if you’re comparing silver prices across Delhi jewellers, compare the complete final quotation for the same weight and product.

Bottom Line

Silver prices in Delhi rose ₹10 per gram on August 11, 2026, taking the rate to ₹255 per gram.

The current rate puts 10 grams at ₹2,550, 100 grams at ₹25,500 and 1 kg at ₹2.55 lakh. Today’s ₹10,000 jump in the kilogram rate follows four days of silver holding around ₹245 per gram.

The broader 10-day trend is also positive. Silver has risen from ₹235 per gram on August 4 to ₹255 today, a gain of ₹20 per gram.

For buyers, the key thing is to look beyond the headline rate. Making charges, GST and other costs can materially change the final bill, so check the complete price before making a purchase.

Silver rates are indicative and may vary across jewellers and locations. The quoted rates may not include making charges, GST or other applicable levies. Confirm the final price with the jeweller before purchasing.
