Mumbai, July 6: National silver price for 10 grams jumped to Rs 2,499 on Monday (equivalent to Rs 249.90 per gram or Rs 2,49,900 per kg), Rs 48 higher than Friday’s national rate of Rs 2,451 for 10 grams.
This increase marked silver’s first price movement of the week after markets were closed over the weekend and built on a two-session streak that ran through last Thursday and Friday. While India’s domestic prices track movements in international prices, the domestic rates can move higher or lower on a day based on global industrial demand for silver, movements in the US dollar and risk-on/risk-off sentiment in global markets.
Silver prices in Indian cities vs Friday
Matching Monday’s movement with Friday’s rates, silver prices in Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Bangalore, Pune, Vadodara and Ahmedabad all increased by Rs 48 each to Rs 2,499 per 10 grams from Rs 2,451 on Friday, meaning these seven cities remained in lock-step with each other and the national price.

Do remember that the above mentioned prices are indicative. The actual price that a customer would be offered by a jeweller will be inclusive of GST of 3% and making charges. Please note that making charges vary from jeweller to jeweller.
