Mumbai, June 30: The national price of silver for 10 grams stood at ₹2,399 on Tuesday, or ₹239.90 per gram and ₹2,39,900 per kilogram, unchanged from Monday’s national price of ₹2,399 per 10 grams, as the metal took a pause after staging a ₹49 rebound to start the week.
India’s domestic silver prices are determined by international prices, which move in either direction depending on global industrial demand, dollar movements, and the broader risk-on or risk-off sentiment prevailing in international markets at any given time.
Tuesday’s flat session comes after silver clawed back a portion of last week’s hefty losses on Monday, when fears of a wider Middle East war eased following the Iran-US ceasefire framework, and prices recovered after a four-session slide that had taken the national rate from ₹2,499 to ₹2,350 between Tuesday and Thursday of last week. With Tuesday’s prices holding at Monday’s levels, the metal appears to be consolidating gains rather than extending the recovery, as traders await the next directional cue from developments in the Middle East and US economic data.
